Ras al Khaimah (RAK) boasts several beautiful beaches along its coastline, each offering its unique charm and attractions, with beautiful white sand and clear blue ocean waters. Here’s all you need to know about beaches in the Emirate. 

Public Beaches

Public beaches are free for everyone to enter and relax. There are lifeguards and basic facilities, making them a good option for family-friendly fun. The beautiful beaches are clean and well kept so you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy the mix of nature, golden sand and stunningly clear ocean water.

RAK Beach

Visitors love this beach, located on Al Orouba Al Corniche St, thanks to the clear water and peaceful atmosphere. The beach is home to small crabs and live shells that make for a true marine experience. 

Flamingo Beach

The mangroves surrounding this majestic beach are home to the Greater Flamingo, lending the name to this special location. The public beach is easily accessible and hidden by towering dunes dotted with palm trees. The walkways accommodate disabled individuals and prams, making sure everyone can enjoy the beautiful beach facilities and spectacular scenery. There is car parking available on site alongside a small hub of coffee shops and tasty eateries. 

Al Rams Beach and Saraya Island

This beach, located near the old fishing village of Al Rams, offers golden sand and calm water. You can also visit the nearby Saraya Island, which has a horse stable and a pink lake that appears occasionally.

Private Beaches

Private beaches are usually owned and operated by hotels or gated communities such as Mina Al Arab and Al Hamra. They often provide high-end facilities including water sports, sunbeds and loungers. 

Most hotels and resorts in the Emirate offer day passes that give people a chance to enjoy the beach facilities without room booking. These prices differ across hotels and usually include pool and beach access,  sunbeds, and towels.
